Pamela Joan (Haskell) Hunt, 69, of Lincoln, RI, died May 20, 2025 in the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Hunt, who died in 2011. Pam was born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on September 17, 1955 and was the oldest daughter of the late Frank and Joan (Powers) Haskell. She grew up in Franklin, MA, but lived in Lincoln, RI for the last 39 years. She was a 1973 graduate of Franklin High School. While working full time at Medfield State Hospital and raising her oldest son as a single parent, Pam achieved an Associate Degree in Health and Human Services from Dean College in 1980. Pam was devoted to her career and placed tremendous value on helping others. When she left the mental health field in 1989 after 14 years at Medfield State Hospital, she turned her talents to working with senior citizens. She was the Director of the Lincoln, RI Senior Center for 12 years and the Director of the N. Attleboro, MA Senior Center for 20 years before she retired last year. She was an advocate for seniors and served on many local and state committees over her years of service. She was also a talented grant writer who secured grants for many projects to supplement the Senior Center budget. She was an avid reader and loved to spend time sitting at the ocean reading her latest book during the warmer months. She enjoyed listening to a variety of music, attending shows at the Providence Performing Arts Center, cheering on the Patriots, Red Sox, and Celtics, and socializing with friends. She was a true people person and touched many lives, personally and professionally. Anyone who knew Pam was touched by her sense of humor, kind and generous nature, and elegant sense of style. She is survived by her sons, Shaun Haskell and his wife Susan of Bel Air, Maryland and William Hunt of Lincoln, RI as well as her three grandchildren: Emily and Zachary Haskell, and Ashlyn Hunt. She is also survived by her siblings: Richard Haskell and his wife Linda of Foxboro, MA, Donna Pezold and her husband Warren of Bridgewater, New Hampshire, Cynthia Haskell of Gilmanton, New Hampshire and Carolyn Haskell of Troy, Maine. Her brother, Steven Haskell, predeceased her in 2022. In addition, she is survived by her nieces and nephews: Heidi Kuczmiec and her husband Chris, Sheena Franklin, and Patrick Haskell as well as their children and grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at the Keefe Funeral Home on 5 Higginson Ave., Lincoln, RI (www.thekeefefuneralhome.com). Pam will be placed with her husband at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Bristol Elder Services Meals on Wheels program.
